The company offers local, affordable, and innovative fun in a safe and clean environment, with attention to both children and parents. 24 Indoor aims to become the leading indoor playground brand in Europe by building an international network of play centers.

Project objectives

Insight into data

24 Indoor manages multiple locations of MonkeyTown and Street Jump. For efficient business operations, there is a need for in-depth insight into the data from these locations. The existing systems, including financial administration, POS, and planning systems, did not provide the desired dashboards and reports to optimally support operations.

The goal

The objective was to create an integrated solution that aggregates and combines data from all these systems, providing 24 Indoor with real-time insights into the performance of their locations. This should result in better decision-making, more efficient purchasing processes, and optimized workforce planning.

Implementation

Development of the data integration solution

Chief has developed a custom solution that collects and combines all data from the various systems. This solution provides a solid foundation for comprehensive dashboarding, implemented with Tableau. The dashboards are near real-time, allowing 24 Indoor to continuously have insight into the most up-to-date data.

Data enrichment and forecasting

In addition to integrating operational data, it is combined with external data, such as public holidays and KNMI weather data. This enables accurate forecasts, for example, for visitor numbers and expected crowd levels.

Technologies and tools

The solution is built using .NET Core. Chief has managed the entire project from A to Z, including design, development, implementation, and maintenance. We have automated the development process with Azure DevOps, ensuring a streamlined CI/CD pipeline. The application is deployed as a scalable cloud-based solution, allowing it to grow alongside 24 Indoor’s expansion.

Results and benefits

Efficiency in procurement and planning

Thanks to the new data solution, 24 Indoor is able to procure more efficiently and create accurate schedules for all its locations. This ensures that resources are optimally utilized, leading to cost savings and improved operational performance.

Improved preparation for peak moments

With the help of forecasts, 24 Indoor can better prepare for busy periods, for example, by adjusting food and beverage stock in time and scheduling additional staff when needed.
