The Royal Dutch Touring Club ANWB is an association that represents the interests of its members in the areas of mobility, vacations and leisure, through a combination of activities that influence policy and provide services. In its work, ANWB aims to contribute to the sustainable development of society.
The new fox.nl website went live in early December 2023, with the first bookings in by early January.
ANWB Reizen reintroduced FOX Reizen as part of its travel offering. With FOX, an expert in multi-destination tours, ANWB Reizen aimed to reach a broader audience and offer travelers an even more diverse selection of adventurous and cultural trips.
Building the new FOX Reizen platform required additional capacity to develop the frontend efficiently. The goal was to create a modern, user-friendly and scalable frontend that closely matches the needs of travelers. On top of that, the platform had to be able to adapt easily to changing needs and to a growing number of users.
Chief provided two experienced professionals who strengthened the ANWB team in developing the FOX Reizen frontend. The frontend has a flexible setup, so the platform scales smoothly with growing demand.
Despite a tight deadline, from the start of the project to December, the Chief team not only met the deadline but exceeded expectations. This was achieved by acting quickly and collaborating effectively, so ANWB faced no additional challenges during development. In addition, the Chief professionals improved and modernized the existing implementation. That gave ANWB a solid foundation to keep building on.
The Chief professionals also actively shared their knowledge and coached team members. This increased the expertise within the ANWB team.
Thanks to the deployment of Chief professionals, the ANWB team has grown. Team members now have more knowledge and skills in modern frontend development, which has improved both collaboration and efficiency.
The new FOX Reizen platform offers a user-friendly and visually appealing interface. Thanks to its scalable setup, the platform can easily adapt to changing needs and a growing number of users.
The project was delivered on time and also brought a significant improvement and modernization of the previous implementation. As a result, ANWB works more efficiently and continues to develop on a solid foundation. With the support of Chief professionals, ANWB Reizen has reintroduced FOX Reizen, and FOX Reizen was ready to serve a broad audience.
