Foster+Freeman developed the Crime-lite AUTO, an all-in-one camera equipped with multiple light sources. This camera is used to capture forensic evidence at crime scenes.
Despite the power and versatility of the device, a challenge emerged: the vast number of settings made it hard to select the right configuration quickly and effectively for the best results.
The objective was to develop a solution that helps forensic investigators choose the right settings. It had to be a user-friendly and efficient system that simplifies the complexity of all those settings.
Chief developed a custom portal: the Product Validation Library. The portal provides reference data in the form of recorded images, together with the corresponding settings and results. This lets forensic investigators compare easily and choose the camera settings that best fit their situation.
Chief managed the entire project from start to finish, including design, development, implementation and maintenance.
