Wayzo is a Utrecht-based software company that helps organizations record, manage and report on business mobility. With a mobile app for employees and an online management portal, employers get a clear view of commuting, business travel, CO₂ emissions and their vehicle fleet. That makes it easier to meet the Dutch WPM reporting requirement and to keep lease contracts and mobility costs under control.

Wayzo wanted to take the administrative work around business mobility off employers' hands entirely. Organizations needed a single overview of their employees' mobility arrangements, from lease cars and bicycles to public transport and shared mobility. Each client organization also had to see only its own data, with its own user roles and modules.
Dutch employers with 100 or more employees must report every year on the CO₂ emissions of commuting and business travel. Wayzo wanted to make that reporting simple and dependable: employees log their journeys in an app, private trips stay private, and the employer produces the report in one click.
Wayzo also needed a fleet management module. Fleet managers use it to manage vehicles, contracts, drivers and costs, and mobility partners such as Mobility Heroes can do the same on behalf of their own customers.
Chief develops and runs the entire Wayzo platform: an online management portal for employers and an iOS and Android app in which employees log their journeys. The app is available in Dutch, English and Spanish. The platform also automatically calculates trip distances, fills in vehicle details and sends reminders.
Vehicle details are filled in from the official Dutch vehicle register. Fleet data from several lease companies and employee lists can be imported. Vehicles fitted with a tracker record their trips automatically.
Chief also takes care of managing the platform and keeps it running smoothly for employers and employees.
Employees set their regular travel days and routes in a travel schedule and save frequently used addresses, so logging trips takes very little time. In the dashboard, employers see the number of trips, the distance traveled and the resulting CO₂ emissions at a glance. They download the emissions report as a PDF, along with the underlying data.
The fleet module gives insight into expiring contracts, lease, fuel and damage costs, benefit in kind and IFRS 16 calculations. Mobility Heroes loads a new customer's fleet itself and sees what happened with the import. Where possible, drivers are matched to employees automatically.
Each client organization works with its own data and uses only the modules it has signed up for, such as CO₂ reporting or fleet management. Chief keeps developing the platform, based in part on requests from Wayzo users. The platform can grow with new client organizations and users. Data is stored in Europe.
