De Compliance Afdeling (DCA) in Rotterdam helps organizations meet information security, privacy and other compliance requirements in a practical, demonstrable way. With its own Compliance Tool and a dedicated Compliance Officer, DCA guides clients through standards and laws such as ISO 27001, NEN 7510, NIS2 and ISO 42001, from baseline assessment and implementation to audit, certification and ongoing management.
Since February 2026, Chief has provided technical leadership for the new Compliance Tool.
The Compliance Tool is where DCA clients manage standards, legislation, risks, controls, tasks and evidence in one place. DCA wanted a new version on a scalable, secure and future-proof foundation that supports multiple client organizations, roles and frameworks, and leaves room for international growth, integrations and further product development.
For that new version, DCA wanted senior technical guidance from the outset: someone to safeguard the technical direction, stay involved in development on an ongoing basis and act as a sounding board when weighing choices and risks. That is why Chief has led the technical side of development since early 2026.
Alongside the Compliance Tool, DCA uses a growing number of its own applications for internal operations. DCA wanted to bring them together on one central platform, so that every application is managed the same way.
Chief develops and safeguards the technical vision and architecture of the new Compliance Tool and turns business goals into a technical roadmap. Chief advises on technology choices, security, performance and scalability, and acts as a sounding board for DCA's management. DCA's leadership makes the strategic choices, with Chief as an advisor.
Chief has worked closely with DCA's developers from the start and acts as technical lead for the development team. Together with the team, Chief oversees the architecture and the quality of the development work.
Chief also provided development capacity. For the new Compliance Tool, Chief contributed to the foundation that lets the tool support multiple client organizations. In addition, Chief set up a central platform and brought DCA's in-house applications onto it.
